I can recall a period of time when Target sold clothing that was hardly even wearable. Today, however, it would appear big brands have been adopted into their stores and it is almost like it has turned into a nice destination to buy clothes. If you are not in agreement, maybe you just haven’t received word that high-end designer jeans brand William Rast has just recently been added to the impressive list of designers sold at Target.
If you aren’t aware, William Rast is a newish brand of designer denim jeans, co-founded by former N*Sync teen idol, Justin Timberlake. These jeans have been spotted on the butts of tons of famous people around Tinsel Town. You can bet they’ll be by far the most pricey jeans available for sale at any given Target around the country, but they’re still available at Target. Doesn’t that boggle your mind?
Once upton a time when I was a kid, I can recall feeling bored out of my mind at Target and pleading with my mom to buy me a $5 wrist watch. Of course I can’t say for certain what other types of watches (if any) were sold at the time, but I’m somewhat confident there were numerous kinds all more or less in the same price range. Today, there are many types sold at Target stores costing $100 even (if not more).
One more example was in my teenage years. In the name of saving some $, my mama would buy me clothing at Target. At a critical time when the vast majority of my classmates were rocking trendy, much more pricey, skate style brand labels, I was sporting random brand names like Utility and Mossimo, the biggest sellers of Target back in the day. It was rather arduous.
Things have apparently changed. Nowadays, buying clothes at Target is pretty much the “in” thing you can do. Tell me, what’s next?
